Is the game completely designed?

Yes. Other than a few minor tweaks to the Rule Book based on beta-players’ questions, it is ready to produce.

Do I need to have read the novels to play the game?

Absolutely not. (And our reviewers and testers, none of whom have read the books, have raved anyway!) The game was designed as a completely standalone product. We did our best to include the novels’ quirkiness in the game design (especially the characters). If you want to get into the role-play aspect a bit, there is a section of the Rule Book that gives suggestions. If you really want to get into it, yeah, read the novels. It will make the game’s story a bit richer, but it won’t change the challenge or affect the play at all.

Where is it being printed?

It will be printed overseas. While this takes more time (and adds to the transportation costs), it also allows us to improve quality of printing and offer some cool extras that we couldn’t provide without the overall cost savings of offshore printing.

When do I get my game and my other rewards?

If the reward is a story, novel, or audiobook, you will get a link to download it soon. Here’s a rough timeline of when you’ll get the game: * Kickstarter ended 7/20 (Behind The Scenes: we’ll be choosing the final providers based on the funding success and setting up the initial orders) * Surveys sent to backers 8/4 (BTS: KS sent us the money and we’ll place firm orders with all providers this week.) * 4-6 weeks to print and assemble (BTS: setting up logistics and making sure your information is 100% ready for fulfillment) * ship from factory to distributor (4-6 weeks for offshore-printed transoceanic shipping + customs clearance) * 1 week assembly (including physical add-ons, upgrades, and packaging) (BTS: all in the hands of the fulfillment/shipper) * 1-2 weeks shipping (BTS: in the hands of mailing services)

If everything goes great? September. Realistic goal? Halloween. If surprises happen? November. (BTS: we will keep you constantly updated. Also, check the KS project page at any time as we’ll be keeping an updated timeline in place of the project image.)

The Training Mission only has information for playing 3 characters, what about when we have 6 gamers?

The Training Mission was kept simple with just 3 characters in play to simplify the idea. All of the regular play Mission Cards have additional information for 4, 5, or 6 characters in play. Also, the number of characters in play does not have to match the number of gamers. A solitaire round could be all 6 characters or 2 gamers could play 5 characters cooperatively. Six gamers could play 3 (at the expert level this is probably the most challenging and fun form of play there is–don’t play Miranda or Holly and it may be nearly impossible, just sayin’).

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
