I’m always a sucker for anything that has some asymmetry. I also like that there are different mission cards to tailor your experience based on how difficult you want the game to be. It’s super approachable for newer gamers with enough of a challenge for more experienced folks. I haven’t read any of the novels so you don’t need to be familiar with them to enjoy the game. There is a bit of a luck element with dice rolling but that just makes everything more exciting, to me.
The Great Chase has something for all types of gamers- a solo mode, varying difficulty levels, and is a great entryway for cooperative games. The artwork is stunning and components are great.
