The Great Chase check-in

First let me say how much I appreciate everyone's patience. I know that Alex and mine is being stretched to the limit by the Chinese government regulators. I was hoping for an update by today...and the update I got was that there won't be an update until at least Tuesday.

Sadly, we've definitely lost the Christmas window.

Once approved:

• 2-3 weeks to manufacture
• 3 weeks to cross the ocean
• who knows how long to unload
• 2-30 days to pass through customs
• 1 week to mail

And that's if there are no more rude surprises. 

We are working on a bonus gift to be included with every game. Nothing big, but a way to say thanks for your patience. We will definitely post an update the moment anything changes.

The Chinese government

Hi Folks,

I wish I had more amazing news, but our game is still cycling through the Chinese government bureaucracy in hopes of getting approvals.

The catch is, the government review agency simply says "yes" or "no" without giving a reason. We then make our best guess and resubmit.

We're hoping we have it this time. You can see the "big issue" below.

We'll keep you posted,

The Great Chase Prototype

This also arrived yesterday (busy times!)...and it's GORGEOUS! It doesn't begin to show in the photo below, but the colors are great, the cards are thicker and have a very nice feel, the color-matching of the pawns to the dice to the player cards is very cool too. Master designer Alex and I spent an hour oooing and ahhhing over it and couldn't stop grinning at each other. We still have to review the final Deluxe Version planes, but we've already approved everything else for production. Just great! Moving forward! Hope to have pictures of planes by end of week.
